okay so this is about inconsiderate singaporeans. is it just me, or does everyone find that singaporean's IQ is deteriorating at an alarming rate. maybe its just me being impatient. after going out so often these few days during the holidays, im starting to find singaporean's behaviour in public distressingly annoying.
no 1. or should i say the most common inconsiderate and absolutely dumb thing: stopping suddenly just right before the escalators to either answer a phone/change their mind about going upstairs/turn around to see where their dear friends are/that they thought they had a hallucination that someone called them. and because you never expected that to happen (by the way, im standing at a point of view where you are right behind that inconsiderate person), you continue walking on and in the process, you step on that person's leg on accident and get a nasty glare when it was really not your fault OR you see him/her stop, so you try to overtake him/her and all of a sudden, he/her changes their mind and decides to continue going on the escalator, and he/she turns around, knocking the poor you thats just beside him/her as you are in the process of overtaking him/her and you get a glare from him/her. fine so im saying EITHER WAY, YOU GET A GLARE WHEN IT WAS REALLY NOT YOUR FAULT.
no 2. annoying as well. especially for me, since i dislike walking slowly and sometimes when im late, i get a rush of what should i call it. hmm. inspiration to knock that person flat on the floor and step over him/her like a carpet. of course, it never happens. well, so as to continue, the common characteristics of such people are that they will suddenly slow down while walking in a really crowded place OR they walked slowly all along like as though they owned the whole place OR even worse, they stop suddenly in the middle of a really crowded place and yes, in the middle of nowhere to answer a phone or to whirl around to try and identify where their lost friend is in the mass crowd. at these kind of times you really want to roll your eyes and pass sarcastic remarks about how dumb it is to wave your hand and try to find your friend in that kind of crowd.
no 3. not too bad. annoying as well but most of the time it cant be helped so its okay. on the bus or mrt. then people start trampling on your foot at the last minute to get off at their stop. then you start wondering why they cant try to get to the exit earlier. like one stop before they are due to alight so that there wont be last minute trampling and your legs and bags cant be protected from last minute trampling and knocking respectively.
no. 4 new arising case that i've just noticed. new trend should i say. at the movies. just at the climax when you're about to watch max payne fighting the baddies and the baddy saying what was the cause of the hallucinations, you start gripping the edge of your seat and strain your ears to catch every word. just then, the large bawling of a toddler that screams at the top of his voice: " SWEETS. MUMMY I WANT SWEETS" and you start glaring through the darkness of the cinema hoping his mouth will zip at the very moment. okay so it isnt his fault. i should be saying i was glaring at the parent, wondering why on earth he/she brought a kid that only know what the word sweets mean.
okay so yeah. haha. maybe its just me being impatient. man. how i wish i knew how to face you again on wednesday. and then i know i'll start crying and asking myself all over again whether i've really given up on him. and if i havent, whether im loving him or you. afterall you're so like him.
